Ways YOU can help

While we are very excited to start this new chapter of our lives, it is impossible for us to do it alone.  

We need YOUR help!  

We need you to be a partner in this mission with us.  

You can do this in 2 ways:

1.  Pray.  Pray for us often.  We have a long journey ahead of us, and it is not going to be easy.  We need prayers for our preparation to go onto the mission field-physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, relationally, and spiritually.  We need prayers for the hearts of others-the hearts of those who will be supporting us from home, those who will be supporting us on the mission field, and for the communities whom we will be working with in Brazil.  

2.  Give.  We need your financial support!  Their are a lot of expenses that we need assistance with in getting to Brazil.  A few examples are: Passports/visas, travel/airfare, language training, and selling/renting our home, along with many others.  We are then going to need monthly support while on the mission field. This will cover things such as our ministry expenses, salary, education, healthcare, and retirement.  

You may be thinking, "well, I will pray for you, but I don't make enough money to support you monthly."  I would challenge you to step back and take a look at how much money you spend each month on coffee, going out to eat or entertainment.  What if you gave up 2 days a week of going to Starbucks gave us 10 dollars a week instead?  That's 40 dollars a month-which can go a long way!  Another example:  What if you went out to eat only twice a month with your family of 4 rather than once a week, and gave those extra two night out monies toward our mission?  Another easy way to support us while not having to use much more than you spend monthly now.  

If you do choose to support us and our mission (and even if you choose not to support us, but would like to receive updates-you can!), you will get quarterly newsletters of updates of what is happening with us in Brazil.  We would be updating this blog regularly, and would love for you to follow along.  We will also be in contact with you on a regular basis to keep in touch and do what we can to be a part of your lives through prayers and encouragement.
